YFF!!!!!

Last week I got to go to one of the coolest camps ever, YFF( Youth for Freedom). It was awesome I got to learn new things, meet new people and have lots of fun. YFF is set up in four different levels, I was in level two. My counselor was the coolest guy, his name was Big-D. The counselors choose someone they admire and pick a nick name that goes with that person, they don't tell there real names until the end but I knew Big-D though his real name is Chris Bowler. I go to school with his younger brothers that's how I know him. My group had about ten boys in it they were all way cool but my favorite was Kaden Lyman, he was way funny and we like the same things so we became fast friends.
Some of the things I did was listen to speakers, which were way cool and I learned a lot. My favorite speaker, Jim Rhoades, talked about getting out of our comfort zones. He had us do this simulation which was awesome. It was called Popsicle Sticks and you had to stare into people's eyes that were seven inch's away from yours, it was a little weird at first but I got over that and had lots of fun. Another simulation we did was a little unrealistic but it was OK I guess, it was a simulation of an atomic bomb attack on the U.S. I was one of the first to die so I didn't have as much fun as I could have :( . Another thing I did was Zumba at 5:00 in the morning. When I first heard that we were doing zumba I wasn't very excited because I had heard that it isn't very fun and that it is hard, but I guess grown~ups don't know how to have fun if they don't like zumba because I had a blast, it was a little embarrassing at first because I can't move my hips very good but I got over that and had lots of fun. Kaden and I were in the back so we couldn't see the instructor very good, so we were doing our own thing most of the time. There was a dance, it was way fun I got to learn some new dances and meet some new people. Another thing I did was go around with my friend Maegan, who is awesome, and give random people hugs which was kind of weird but we had fun. I got to hang out with Maegan a lot during YFF, which was nice since we got to become better friends. Some other things that we did was some book discussions on The Merchant of Venice, Prince Caspian, The Hobbit, and Say Go Be Do. They were all really good discussions and I got a lot out of them, except the Merchant of Venice one, Maegan and I were dreading the discussion for that one because we both didn't read it, so we had no idea what anyone was talking about. We also went on a hike that was way fun. Where we were was way pretty, it was up by Zion national park. During the hike the counselors had us go in the woods to meditate and feel spiritual for about 30 minutes. I was unable to do both because I was being attacked by the biggest ants I have ever seen, they were every where so I didn't have very much fun with that activity. The food at YFF wasn't the best I'm sorry to say, we had protein shakes for breakfast they were nasty, luckily Big-D planed for the shakes and brought pop tarts :) we also had rice with gravy, spaghetti, and if you know me I hate both, burgers, probably the best thing we ate, and taco salad which was alright. But other than the food every thing was awesome at YFF, and I am looking forward to going next year.
