Talk on Sunday!!!

I had to give a talk today in sacrament meeting. I was warned on Wednesday, but I didn't do anything until Friday night because I love procrastinating. my subject was how young men's helps me realize that we are children of the most high. It took me all day Saturday( from sun up to sun down, no joke) to figure out what I was going to say, with a little help from mother I was able to finish before midnight. My adventure didn't stop there though, I didn't get a lot of sleep because I would wake up every hour on the hour ( a special ability that I get when im nervous). when I woke up on Sunday I didn't feel very good, but still had to church. It didn't help that my friends, when they found out that I was speaking, were saying things like "don't choke" and "don't die". One of the things that calmed me down was the young woman that would be speaking with me (she was very cute), we talked a bit and then it was time, luckily she had to go first, during her talk I said a little prayer and afterwards didn't feel nervous at all. It was my turn next, I did it very well I was told by many people afterwards, all my friends were amazed and said I sounded like a grown up they were even more surprised when I told them it was only my third time speaking. well I was happy that it was over but was already looking forward to the next time that I have to give a talk.

I forgot to say that it was valentines day today, I didn't get any cards except the one my parents gave me with a box of chocolates, oh well. I had a good day!

Mischling, 2nd degree

I just finished this book today. it was for a class that I am taking called Hero Project, its a class that is focused on the hero's of the WWII era. the book is called Mischling 2nd degree, its a true story about a girl who lived in Germany during WWII, she becomes a member of the Hitler Youth and is sent to a three different camps for girls in the Hitler Youth because of the bombings over Berlin. I thought that it was a good book and would read it again.
